IFTTT: Automate Your World

Here’s an app that literally changes lives. This application links everything together and lets you create tasks simply by constructing what IFTTT calls recipes. They're all simple IF then THEN statements.

Example 1: If I update my twitter profile picture then update my Facebook profile picture with the same picture.

Example 2: If I text 30 people, then back up messages to Drive Document.

There’s thousands of these recipes and it can save you hours. Inside the app there are sections for different types of users. There’s a section for social media users, professionals and even baseball fans.

To use the app simply create and account and start adding “channels”. Each channel represents a different app, part of an OS or even an entire device.

Here’s another example: If My smartwatch (CHANNEL) is low on battery, then blink Phillip’s Hue (CHANNEL) and send notification to iOS lock screen (CHANNEL).
