Azule PC Stick/Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard K400 Plus - Ful Review
We have all heard of Smart TV's, and Smart Blue Ray players. Most of us even have a Chromecast. But why not take your living room to another level with little to no effort.
The Quantum Access is a full Windows PC on an HDMI stick. This PC stick is relatively small, portable and has a study build. The front simply has an HDMI output which can be used with a TV or any supported monitor. If you monitor isn't supported, there are plenty of converters online. There are also slots for power input, 1 USB input and even a spot for Micro-USB. Finally, there is a small antenna sticking out of the back that will help boost your Wi-Fi/Bluetooth signals!
Inside, we find 32GB of storage and 2GB of ram. Storage can be increased using the micro-SD card slot. The processor inside is an Intel Atom Z3735F. It's not the fastest processor in the world but you'll be able to browse the web, stream and even do some light gaming.
Installation is also quite simple. You plug in the power supply, then place the PC Stick into an HDMI input and press the power button found on the side of the device. In our case, we have the Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard K400 Plus to be used as a mouse and keyboard. The keyboard consists of a trackpad on the right, and special media button above that. The keyboard keys are to the left and are relatively easy to use why maintaining a durable build. The range is about 33 feet while but the real wonder is in the battery life. This keyboard should last you a good 18 months on 2 AAA batteries (comes included).
Next, we plugged the dongle into the stick itself and were setting up Windows in minutes. After setting up out Microsoft account, we immediately upgraded to Windows 10. Unfortunately, there was only about 15GB of space left. Keep this in mind BEFORE upgrading to the latest Windows. We decided to place a 128GB SD card into the PC stick and began testing.
It stacks up pretty well for such a small thing. You can browse the web, make Skype calls, play Minecraft, and of course, stream YouTube or Netflix. Every person seems to have different use for it. As long as you not constantly playing 4K or attempting to play any 2015 games, the Quantum Access will perform well. We did notice it getting a bit hot after a few CPU intensive tasks but that’s normal for a device with no fans. In fact, some have said they can keep this ruining 24/7 with no issue. All the caveats we mentioned can be fixed. The storage is expandable and if you don’t have an HDMI input, a converter will suffice.
Overall, it’s fast and portable. Assuming you have an HDMI input and a WiFi connection, you should be able to pocket this and use it wherever you need. It’s fast and runs all the things the average person may need on a traditional Windows device.
